Plot summary
Eleonore lives in New York City, where she takes what belongs to other people, mostly handbags and purses. Her searching carries her into strangers' bags, and they notice only once she has moved on. In a bar she lifts a woman's bag that holds car keys. She runs into her friend Josh, and the two of them take the car and drive to Boston, though Eleonore does not know how to drive. The character at the center came out of a short film about a kleptomaniac woman, and that project grew into a full-length American feature shot on 16 mm film.
