Plot summary
Both men came through the academy of a London football club, and at nineteen they are about to play their first game for the senior side, a Champions League match. The night before, sharing a hotel room in Romania, they cannot settle. They mess about, wrestle, arrange their kit, and watch a sex tape belonging to a teammate. Then one of them kisses the other. Each of them stands at the start of a professional career in a sport where a player's public image matters a great deal. The ten years that follow for both of them are shaped by that night.
