Plot summary
In Australia, Johnny is a white koala mocked for his color. He joins a traveling carnival, where the Tasmanian devil Hamish and the photographer monkey Higgens act as his talent agents. At the carnival, Johnny is placed in the freak show rather than the main tent, and the Wild Bushman act draws the crowd away. While the carnival crosses the Australian outback desert, the trailer carrying Johnny, Hamish, and Higgens comes loose and crashes. Hamish presents Johnny to the locals as a hero called Koala Kid. A giant crocodile named Bog and his dingo pack threaten the billabong, and Johnny must live up to the heroic reputation Hamish has given him.
