Plot summary
Jake Bartholomew trades in commodities, and a revolution in a Third World country has tied up his shipment of cocoa beans. He and Tina are lodged in a London hotel and spend far more than they have. Tina is still technically married to her first husband, Larry, and she is a woman of expensive tastes. The hotel men Mercer and Swayle keep pressing the couple about their unpaid bill. When Jake's credit card is refused at dinner, he raises the idea of selling the small Henry Moore sculpture Larry once gave Tina. Instead, the two of them devise a plan to report the piece stolen and collect the insurance money on it. Then the sculpture disappears.
