Plot summary
Nick Craig, a bookie, takes Ted Higgins and Tommy Hinchcliffe for the messengers he sent to bring him $50,000, though the two men wash windows for a living. Craig sends them to the office of Mr. Stewart, who pays over the cash but has plans of his own and puts two thugs on their trail. Tommy gets away from the robbers and hides in a room where women are preparing face powder samples for the mail. He slips the money into an envelope addressed to Craig, and by accident that envelope goes out with a powder sample in its place. The pair report back to Craig and promise the cash will reach him the next day.
