Elvia Allman
Biography
Elvia Allman was an American actress whose radio, film and television career lasted more than 50 years. Born in Enochville, North Carolina, she started in radio in 1926, reading children's stories at KHJ in Los Angeles before moving to NBC. In 1928 she acted in a Pasadena Community Players production, and she made her film debut in Road to Singapore (1940), often in unbilled bits. On television she was a frequent guest performer, appearing in the I Love Lucy candy factory episode and as Elverna Bradshaw on The Beverly Hillbillies, with roles on Petticoat Junction. Her films included Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and The Nutty Professor (1963), and she revived Clarabelle Cow for The Prince and the Pauper (1990). She died in 1992.
