Plot summary

Sleep paralysis is a condition in which a person, while falling asleep or waking, is briefly unable to move or speak or react to anything. Sometimes the episode brings physical sensations or hallucinations. Eight people who have the condition are interviewed about what they go through. Their accounts are then staged with professional actors, re-creating what each participant described. The crew first approaches possible participants through books, message groups and videos, and later people begin approaching the crew after the documentary's premise is announced.
