Plot summary
Julie Barnes, Pete Cochran and Linc Hayes are young offenders who choose undercover work for the police rather than serve jail time. Captain Adam Greer is the superior they answer to. The three are investigating a club that is suspected of running prostitutes, and Julie has taken a waitress job at it. There she encounters Billy, an old boyfriend from the years when both of them were addicted to drugs, and the two take up the relationship again. Linc sees Greer in a meeting with Gilbert, a criminal the squad knows from an earlier bust. Officers in the department treat the three with ridicule.
