Plot summary

Kim Rossi is an aspiring romance novelist, and the boyfriend about to see his own book in print has just ended their relationship. She takes stock and signs up for a writing retreat at a Vermont inn in the days before Christmas, where a well-known romance novelist is expected to read the work of one attendee. Shortly after she arrives, she runs into Zeke, whose manner she finds intrusive, and she becomes his partner for the workshop assignments. Her ex is at the retreat as well. She throws herself into the exercises and finds she is capable of more than she assumed, while an attraction between her and Zeke begins to build.
