Reynaldo, called Rey, leaves a juvenile reformatory and makes his way back to his old home in Old Havana. Cuba is in the Special Period, in the late nineties, and he gets by as best he can, wandering the streets of the old city with hunger above all, along with rum and moments of good humor. Then he meets Magda and Yunisleidi, two prostitutes who survive the same poverty he does. He is with one and then the other, and in their arms he tries to escape the material and moral misery around him, living love, passion and tenderness with them.
