Memoria (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Jessica, who moved from Scotland to Colombia, runs a market-flower business in Medellín. One night she is woken by a single loud boom that she alone appears to have heard, and the sound returns again and again and keeps her from sleeping. The next day she visits her sister Karen, who is ill in a hospital in Bogotá, and she grows curious about an excavation project underway at that same hospital. Still bothered by the noise, Jessica turns to Hernán, a young sound engineer, to recreate the sound. Their first attempts fail, and a friendly relationship develops between them as they keep trying.
