Plot summary
The Killer, a professional hitman, waits in a Paris hotel room for a target whose arrival time he does not know. He passes the days eating, exercising, listening to the Smiths and checking in by phone with his handler, Eddie Hodges, a lawyer and his former law professor. When the target finally appears with a dominatrix, the Killer takes his shot and hits the woman instead, leaving the target unharmed. He slips away from the police and disposes of his gear, then flies toward his house in the Dominican Republic. There he learns that the place was broken into, and finds his girlfriend Magdala in intensive care, with her brother Marcus at her side. Marcus describes the two people who tortured her, and the Killer sets out to find them.
