Plot summary
Blair Maynard is a journalist in New York City who once served in the Navy. He sets out to solve the mystery of the boats that vanish in the Caribbean, and brings his son Justin, from whom he has grown apart, to Florida, promising a trip to Disney World. While they fish, an unkempt man attacks them, and the two are taken by force to an uncharted island. Its people are French pirates whose colony has lived there for centuries by raiding pleasure boats.
