Plot summary
Ben Castle is a Hollywood singing cowboy, and off camera he is nothing like the man he plays on screen. He is a phony who cannot ride, sing or act, he is afraid of guns and horses, and he flees at the first sign of trouble. In Las Vegas he runs up gambling debts to Harry Kallen that he cannot pay. His studio hires the attorney A.J. Furnival to get him out of that trouble, and Kallen knows her father's name, since the elder Furnival was a legendary attorney who helped him on several occasions. Castle talks A.J. into a quick wedding.
