Plot summary
In Charlotte, North Carolina, Isaiah Wright fills his days with basketball and video games and neglects his chores at home. A year past high school and with no college plans, he gets around on a bike, since the old Ford Mustang in the garage is one his father never finished. His mother Cynthia gives him a choice: find work or move out. At a coffee shop, he flirts with Abigail, the cashier, until her father throws him out. Filling out an application at Moore Fitness, Isaiah meets the company president, Joshua Moore, who asks why he is there and then invites him to lunch, handing over a business card and three questions to answer before he calls. Cynthia seeks prayer support from Miss Clara.
