Trailer

Plot summary

Chris Merrill lives in Salt Lake City, divorced, with custody of his daughter Kaylee, and is applying to law school. RJ Smith has moved to Portland, and a year has passed since the two former Mormon mission companions last saw each other. Chris flies north to visit him, and their first hours together are awkward and restrained before they reconnect. Chris meets RJ's circle from Affirmation, a gay Mormon support group. He drinks alcohol, which their religion forbids, and the two talk around their relationship without settling anything. Chris remains a faithful Mormon and wants RJ to come to church with him. RJ refuses.
