The Eligible Bachelor (1993) on Netflix

Plot summary

Lord Robert St. Simon marries Henrietta Doran, called Hatty, a woman from San Francisco. She takes part in the ceremony, but at the reception in her father's house she pleads a sudden indisposition and goes to her room; soon afterward she is found to have left. Earlier, a dancer named Flora Millar, a former companion of Simon, made a scene at the door and was sent away. At the church, Hatty dropped her bouquet, and a man in the front pew returned it to her. A creditor's collection agent stays at Simon's mortgaged estate, an arrangement Hatty's father has helped to fund. Holmes, troubled by disturbing dreams, takes up the questions: who the woman at the door was, who the man in the pew was, and why Hatty's dress and ring were found by the Serpentine.
