Plot summary
Three space musicians are on their way home aboard their boat, The Cosmic Eye, when a sharp nostalgia takes hold of them. Rather than press on, they swing out over the Milky Way, and there they watch a set of films about the search for life elsewhere in the cosmos and about the wish for peace. Watching, they feel for Earth and mean to help it. Earth, for its part, has been visited by a race of aliens, and the visitors come with an ultimatum: peace or complete destruction.
