Plot summary

Elizabeth Chase is getting her family's Malibu home ready for a charity event fourteen days away, and she also has to look after her teenage daughter McKenzie. When she and her lawyer husband Paul cannot find a suitable contractor on their own, Paul comes across Desert Sun Contracting, owned by Javier Reyes. Reyes has been photographing the family and listening in on their calls, and he is not there to build. He plants a doctored restaurant receipt and edited phone records so that Liz believes Paul has had an affair. Suspicious of the contractor, she asks Paul to tell Reyes to leave, and Reyes goes bitterly, promising to return.
