Plot summary
In 1964, Ed and Lorraine Warren's newborn daughter is stillborn, and Lorraine's prayers bring the baby back to life; she is named Judy. Twenty-two years later, Jack and Janet Smurl move their four daughters into a house in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, sharing it with Jack's parents, Mary and John. John gives Heather the antique mirror as a confirmation gift, and a light fixture falls from the kitchen ceiling at dinner. Ed's heart condition has ended the Warrens' investigations, though they still lecture. Judy, grown and prone to psychic episodes, gets engaged to Tony Spera. When the Smurls tell their story to the media, Father Gordon takes an interest. Dawn and Heather try to get rid of the mirror, but spirits keep coming to the house.
