Plot summary
Hans Jurgen Höss spent his childhood in the family villa beside Auschwitz, the camp his father Rudolf Höss commanded. Anita Lasker-Wallfisch was a Jewish prisoner held there. In her London living room the two meet face to face, a private encounter between the descendant of a major war criminal and a survivor. Their children, Kai Höss and Maya Lasker-Wallfisch, join them, and the four talk through their very different inheritances.
