Plot summary
Kathy Howard, a young widow, has decided against a Christmas tree this year. The ornaments she and her late husband gave each other stay locked away, and the one tradition she keeps is baking cookies for friends. Shortly before the holiday she meets Tim Pierce, the owner of a Christmas tree shop. He gives her a tree and an ornament that stands for hope. She helps him deliver trees, and he helps her begin a cookie business she has long wanted. Her friend Jenna backs her.
