Plot summary
Maya Fletcher works as a perfume executive, and she and her husband Jack are both occupied by demanding jobs. Maya's career led the family to move recently, which has affected their children. Hoping to make a good impression on her boss and on a possible new client, Maya agrees to hold a Christmas party at the family's new house, while relatives from both sides plan to spend the holidays there. Jack proposes hiring Owen, a well-known Christmas consultant. Maya hesitates at first, and then the Fletchers take him on.
