Plot summary
Fawn Harriman, a high school student in Dannemora, lost her parents a year ago. She learns she has inherited the Roxy, a disused theater in Amityville, New York, and takes a weekend trip to look it over with her friend Indy Divani, her boyfriend Kyle Blaker, his younger brother Jevan, and Jevan's friend Matt Darnell. Her teacher Victor Stewart spends the same time researching the history of the theater and of Amityville itself. Inside the Roxy the group meets Wendy Shardlow, who has been staying in the building without permission. The building has no cellphone service, and the visitors discover they cannot leave.
