Plot summary
A former dancer, Eva Roussel lives in a wheelchair and cannot walk. Her friend Sophie brings her an old wooden advent calendar on her birthday, shortly before Christmas. It contains none of the usual treats. Each drawer holds a gift, and the gifts are frightening and turn bloodier; every one of them brings a consequence in Eva's real life, some good and most bad. The calendar also offers her the chance to walk again, at a cost to the people around her.
