Plot summary
While at a friend's wedding in Thalassery, Vinod, a Hindu Nair boy, collides with Aisha, a Muslim girl, in a corridor, and she falls down a staircase. She is carried unconscious to a hospital, and he calls there to apologize and finds himself drawn to her. His friends Abdu and Mustafa help him find ways to reach her, and he enters a Daffmuttu competition at the university that Aisha has joined, with Najaf coaching him even though the two share a bitter past. At the cultural festival the two get to know each other, and a letter from Aisha shows her feelings have changed. Her family's opposition to a Hindu suitor, however, remains.
