Qalb (2024) on Netflix

Plot summary

Leonardo Caplo lives with his father, Sayippu, who keeps a small café on Dolphin Beach in Alappuzha. Caplo is carefree and spends his days with his friends, and he wants to move to Europe by marrying a foreign woman. A new neighbor, Sauda, asks him to catch her escaped mynah bird, and while climbing a tree for it he notices her daughter, Thumbi. Thumbi comes for the bird the next day and pays him to take it back. A fight at a cinema, a train trip to Thumbi's ailing grandmother and an invitation to Dolphin Beach bring the two closer. Sayippu passes on a fisherman's saying: dolphins surface in pairs for those who love each other.
