Plot summary
Athira's father Raveendran is the local secretary of a political party, and she is in love with Akhil, a worker for the same party. When Athira calls Akhil to say she is ready to elope with him, he brings the matter to his close friends Renju and Pattar. Renju proposes that they approach Rajesh, a tipper driver who once eloped and married himself. Rajesh at first refuses to help once he learns whose daughter Athira is, then agrees. He advises that the wedding be held at a temple in Taliparamba and that it will cost money, which Akhil's mother arranges through a bid.
