Plot summary
Ranch owner Harvey Sullivan keeps two genetically cloned prehistoric terror birds in an aviary on his Texas farm. The pair belong to a species believed extinct for centuries. Birdwatcher Keith Stern strays onto the property one day and is reported missing. His daughter Maddy, a college student, gathers her friends Paige, Justin, Taylor and Brett and heads into the wilderness to search for him, reading the objects he left behind as clues. Taylor's ex-boyfriend Trent, jealous that she is seeing Justin, follows the group without their knowledge. Keith's trail leads them to Sullivan's compound, where his guards Dale and Russell subdue them.
