Plot summary
John Biswas is a seventy-year-old grandfather who comes to the police station again and again, still searching for whoever took his granddaughter Angela eight years earlier. His wife Nancy is ill and uses a wheelchair, and he also turns to Father Martin Das, the former police inspector who handled the Angela case and who left the force for the priesthood after failing to solve it. Inspector Sarita Sharma has no solid clues, yet she keeps gathering evidence on her own. Eight years after the first crime, a boy named Rony is kidnapped, and the method matches the earlier case exactly. Sarita asks Martin to assist, and he offers clues while she and John take up the investigation.
