Plot summary
By the 21st century, cybernetic research has produced robots with human traits, common in the service industry and deployed as cyber cops licensed to kill. When a terrorist group under Sam Washington seizes the British embassy in Los Angeles, the T-Force, the first all-cybernetic law enforcement team, is sent in. The raid leaves the terrorists dead and one cybernaut destroyed. Adam, one of the team, shoots a woman who has surrendered and fires on a helicopter carrying six hostages, among them U.N. Ambassador Chris Olsen. Mayor Pendleton and LAPD Chief Richman order the program shut down and the cybernauts disassembled, over the protest of chief scientist Dr. Jon Gant. Taking that order as a threat to their survival, Adam, Mandragora and Zeus rebel, and Lt. Jack Floyd joins Cain, a cybernaut who keeps to the law.
