Erin Gray
Biography
Erin Gray is an American actress who came to screen work through modeling. Born in Honolulu, she won a modeling contest at 14 that earned her an assignment in St. Louis, then made commercials in Los Angeles before moving to New York City to further that career. Her first starring part came in 1978 with the miniseries Evening in Byzantium, and the notice she drew led to a seven-year contract at Universal Studios. That deal gave her the signature role of Colonel Wilma Deering on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979), which began as a theatrically released movie and then became a weekly series. She followed it with Kate Summers-Stratton in the sitcom Silver Spoons and Lilah in Six Pack (1982), and she also appeared on Magnum, P.I., Superboy and Murder, She Wrote. She wrote Act Right with Mara Purl in 1998 and has worked as a casting agent.
