Plot summary
Cass is a school teacher living in England in a large medieval mansion with her husband. One rainy, foggy night she is driving home along a country road when she passes a car that has broken down by the roadside and thinks she can see a woman inside, but she does not stop. By the following day she learns that the woman she had seen in the car was someone she knew, and that the woman had been murdered. Cass is distraught, and she starts having strange visions and moments she cannot account for. The mansion she shares with her husband no longer feels safe to her.
