Plot summary
The pandemic empties Paris, but seven households stay in the building at 8 rue de l'Humanité, where the residents are mostly strangers to one another. Louise owns the bistro and spends the lockdown trying to reopen it. Leïla works in an emergency department, and Diego Romano is the concierge. One resident is a scientist chasing a vaccine, and another is a hypochondriac whose lawyer wife juggles her caseload with family life. A sports coach gives his classes by videoconference and puts on weight week by week, while his partner, seven months pregnant, sings an anti-COVID song. A self-made businessman learns he does not match his eight-year-old son's grade level.
