Plot summary
Jake Barrett left the LAPD after failing to save a young hostage, and now repairs cars at a garage his father once owned. A truce between the Latin Lords and the Blades holds until members of the Latin Lords are ambushed at a meeting and killed; their driver, Carlos Sanchez, escapes while the scene is arranged to point at the Blades. Carlos's sister Rebecca asks Barrett for help finding him. Franklin's group keeps killing members of both gangs and staging each murder to implicate the other side, and the truce starts to give way. Barrett meets the leaders Cisco and 8-Ball and asks for time to investigate, then agrees to help Rebecca.
