Plot summary
Jack Clayton is a thief whose plan to rob a department store at Christmas collapses when his partner in crime, Harry Zordich, blunders the job while wearing a Santa suit. Jack escapes and ends up stuck in a rural small town, where he takes the alias Oscar Burton and accepts work as Santa at Sarah Gibson's nursery. Jack is reluctant at first. Sarah is raising her daughter Noelle on her own, and she invites Jack into their home. Jack proves a good substitute father to the girl. Emily Sutton, a widow, runs a nostalgic Christmas shop in the town of Evergreen.
