Plot summary
Thomas is a teenager who is obsessed with video games, and the summer his father has planned for the two of them, out in the wilderness, looks to him like a nightmare. His father Christian is a scientist who studies the migrations of wild geese, and he flies an ultralight. Christian has a plan to use it to keep an endangered species from disappearing, and the holiday puts the boy in the middle of that project. The story is based on real events, on the work of a specialist in wild goose migrations and on the adventure he shared with his son.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Radar Films was tried in 2025 over a microlight flight that frightened nesting flamingos and destroyed five hundred eggs on a Natura 2000 site; the Nîmes court fined it and ordered the judgment published at its own expense in the local press and in Cahiers du cinéma. Director Nicolas Vanier, the pilot and the cinematographer were not prosecuted.
- Shooting began in the Camargue, at Le Grau-du-Roi, in June 2018, but after an outcry over five hundred flamingo eggs lost to low microlight passes over the Aigues-Mortes salt flats, which brought a complaint, it moved to the Bay of the Somme, marshes by the Oise, Norway and Picardy.
- The film draws on the true story of Christian Moullec, who flies with birds — swans, cranes, brent geese and geese — and who pioneered microlight flight with birds in Europe from 1995.
