Simon's Got a Gift (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Simon, an eight-year-old orphan, wants more than anything to find a family that will take him in. He also carries a secret that sets him apart from the other children: once he has touched another person, he can take on that person's appearance. An accident kills his best friend, and no one else is there to see it. Simon decides to step into the dead boy's place, and the family believes its son has come home. From then on he lives under a name that is not his own, and he keeps the truth about who he is from the family around him.
