Plot summary
Anna and Hannah are lovers. The two women have escaped a catastrophe and reached a desolate island. There they find water and an abandoned house in the dunes. Anna settles back into looking after Hannah. Hannah is fragile, and her condition means that they do not have long together. For the two women, distance is a necessity and a torture at once.
