Plot summary
Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for five years. A fight with a villain who calls himself the Shocker leaves him late for a double date with Gwen Stacy, his girlfriend, and with Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson, his best friends, and his long absences have already caused friction between them. Peter intends to propose to Gwen while they are away at the lake. His arch-nemesis, the Green Goblin, arrives.
