Plot summary
A rebellious novice nun, Sister Lu questions her faith and considers leaving the Church. Her mentor, the exorcist Father Novak, brings her on a high-speed train that runs from Montreal to New York. On the trip, a traveler unknowingly sets loose the ancient demon Asmodeus, and the demon takes hold of him. The train's controls are destroyed and it speeds on with no one able to stop it. Sister Lu meets other passengers: a young child and her nanny, a couple, a petty thief and a grumpy old man.
