Plot summary
Andie Bergstrom is a NASA-trained astronaut who has never been assigned to a shuttle mission. She teaches at a summer space camp run by her husband, Zach, who has walked on the Moon. Five campers attend: Kevin, Kathryn, Rudy, Tish and twelve-year-old Max. Kathryn wants to be the first woman to command a shuttle, and Andie hands the commander role to Kevin as a lesson in responsibility. Max befriends Jinx, a robot that overheats and takes every remark literally. The campers are aboard the shuttle Atlantis for a routine engine test when it launches by mistake.
