Plot summary
Gillian, a teenage girl, signs on as a counselor at a summer camp, though she is reluctant about the job. Before she can start, the camp asks her to prove she can survive on her own with two nights alone on an island on the camp's land. Staff tell her the island is rumored to be haunted by a former camper's ghost, and they say it is safe. There she comes across Ray, a local man who claims she sent out a distress call, and her uneasiness grows as the night goes on. The two-day rite, which had seemed easy, turns sinister.
