Plot summary
A call comes in to Jack "Soldier" Kelly, a Vietnam veteran whose help has been mentioned on the news. The Molisons want their daughter Vivian back. She had gone to the biker gang Hell's Fury for help with her college thesis, and the gang drew her into sexual servitude. Kelly brings in Cowboy, an old friend who rode with bikers before becoming a private investigator. Fran, a stripper and the former girlfriend of the henchman Goose, tells them what she knows about Hell's Fury. Kelly moves Fran in with his own girlfriend, Hildy, for protection.

- Snake Eater III was the first Canadian picture sold for general release in China, according to producer John Dunning. Paramount Pictures, which acquired the film's U.S. video rights, projected sales of 20,000 to 22,000 units.
- Snake Eater III began as an adaptation of Rafferty's Rules, the first Rafferty crime novel by Australian-based American author W. Glenn Duncan, whose rights came from his agency Curtis Brown. The screenplay was later reworked into a Jack "Soldier" Kelly adventure, though most other characters remained.
