Slalom (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

In the French Alps, Lyz Lopez is fifteen and still in high school when a selective ski club in Bourg-Saint-Maurice accepts her. The club trains young skiers toward professional careers, and Lyz arrives with little experience. Fred, a former ski champion who now coaches the club's athletes, takes a chance on his new recruit and decides to make her his star. Skiing becomes the center of her life, and she gives herself to the training wholeheartedly, physically and emotionally. A streak of wins follows, and Fred's influence over her grows. The training asks more of the teenager than the physical and emotional strain of the sport.
