Plot summary
Jonah is about to be married, and his brother Mac and friends Rand and Elliott take him out for a last night of partying. The first strip club they try lets them down, so a stranger steers them toward a secret club, where the owner, Nyx, welcomes them in. Jonah tells Nyx he wants something that is not sexual, and Nyx sends him alone into a private room. There he finds a young woman held captive behind a glass window. She sings, and the song pulls him into a trance where his past encounters flash through his mind at once. Certain that she is a prisoner, Jonah and his friends plan to get her out of the club.

- Shooting Siren in the swamps of Georgia meant thick, dense fog, bugs and chiggers, and sulphur swamp that smelt like rotten eggs the whole time, according to star Hannah Fierman, whose prosthetic make-up was sweating off.
- The studio pushed for other actresses to play the creature Lily, but director Gregg Bishop insisted on Hannah Fierman, who had played her in the V/H/S segment "Amateur Night". Fierman was hesitant to return and signed on only after being drawn in by David Bruckner's pitch.
- For the scenes in which Lily sings, the filmmakers used Hannah Fierman's own singing voice: she lip-synced a guide track on the first take to get the melody and timing, then sang the song for real in the takes that followed.
- Siren is the first spin-off in the V/H/S franchise, expanding David Bruckner's "Amateur Night" segment from the 2012 film V/H/S into a feature.
