Plot summary
In Goa, the crime boss Jaykant Shikre has Inspector Rakesh Kadam, an honest officer, falsely accused of corruption, and Kadam takes his own life. His widow Megha declares that justice will prevail. In Shivgad, a village on the Goa-Maharashtra border, Inspector Bajirao Singham runs the local police station in his own informal way, earning the villagers' admiration. Gautam Bhosle, an industrialist and his father's friend, arrives with his family, including his daughter Kavya, who falls for Singham's integrity and simplicity. Jaykant, free on conditional bail, must sign in at the Shivgad station every two weeks, but he sends someone else in his place. Singham insists he come in person. Jaykant arrives with his goons and his political connections, only to back down when the villagers stand behind Singham.
