Shadow of the Cat (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Emma has grown up on a remote farm with her father Gato, a place with no telephone or other basic communications tools and no way to reach the outside world. What she knows of her mother comes from Gato alone: that the woman abandoned her at birth. When a phone comes into Emma's hands, a party on the other end claims to be acting on that mother's behalf. Emma leaves the farm to find the woman for herself. Gato and his closest friend Sombra set out after her, racing to rescue her from a grim fate she is unknowingly heading toward.
