Plot summary
George, a sarcastic war veteran, runs a greasy spoon diner on the coast. Kotty waits tables at his counter, and Slob, the short-order cook, is lecherous and keeps after her. Prof. Sam Bastion, a scientist who works at a secret military installation a short drive away, also takes an interest in Kotty and spends much of his free time at the diner. The diner doubles as the base for an operation that carries nuclear secrets out of the country, tied to one of the regulars.
