Plot summary
Ernesto is a lonely man who keeps seven dogs in his apartment in Córdoba, Argentina. The animals' needs shape his days, and he also copes with health problems and money that is short. At a mediation hearing the other residents urge him to take the dogs out of the apartment. He does not want to live without them, and he has nowhere he can afford to move. Other people in the building are lonely too, and they share the common spaces that connect them.
